How to stay up, in a down market.

With all the news reports indicating nothing short of the Apocalypse, it's hard to stay positive right now. And lets face it...the news is always going to favor the bad news over the good. It's just the nature of the beast. But what I've found in the midst of all the turmoil and unknown variables is that these are strange days, indeed, and since we have probably hit rock bottom by now, it can only get better from here!

I've learned in life, that even when the chips are down you have to find the positive in every situation. Ask anyone who has been through a tough, life-changing event and you will find most people learn more while going through the hard stuff than during any other time in life. And the most interesting thing of all is that they wouldn't change a thing because it made them stronger for going through it.

Did you recently lose your job? Maybe it's time for a career change. Maybe you can finally do what you always wanted to, or maybe you can go back to school.

Are you losing your home to foreclosure? This is a devastating thing to go through, but you can start over and come back stronger than ever. And the best thing is, you will never make the same mistakes again.

I know what your thinking...probably that it's not that simple. But really, it is. The best thing to do is keep on moving and trying to find a solution to your problem.

The solution isn't to lie down and give up, or be afraid to move forward. It's to pick yourself up, brush yourself off and work hard towards a solution. After all, it's not how hard you fall down that matters, it's how quickly you can get back up!
